One of the most important value-add solutions that Mellanox provides to its customers and partners is Educational Services. We offer a variety of learning methods to our partners, customers and other technology leaders.
One of the most successful learning platforms to our customers is our open enrollment courses. These 3-4 day instructor led courses are available worldwide: the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Israel, Australia, China and in the US: New York, California, Massachusetts and Washington. Soon we will offer an “After hours, virtual format”, meaning the students will gain the benefit of a blended (remote instructor led along with online training) learning format, allowing participants flexibility to take the course and still not miss many working hours.
The open enrollment courses allow the students great benefits that are not available via other learning methods. Instructor led courses allow students to be fully focused on the training in a dedicated learning environment. Students are exposed to other customers/ partners’ questions and have the opportunity to share their questions with others. This allows them to bridge their own knowledge gaps, and at the same time gain knowledge and skills from colleagues facing similar, yet different scenarios.
Classes are limited to a maximum of twelve (12) participants. This small group setting allows students to have greater interaction with the instructor and provides for ample discussion. Mellanox open enrollment courses are not a “one-time learning occasion”. Students have full access to the exclusive Mellanox Online Academy, upon completion of the face to face course, free of charge.
The Academy e-Learning platform includes courses, “How-to” videos, an Ask-the-Expert feature, live demonstrations, hands-on labs, along with an active community forum. This variety enables students to have a comprehensive learning experience, supported by Mellanox experts and other learners.
During Mellanox open enrollment courses, the instructor demonstrates the material not only on the dedicated hands-on lab, but also on live-production clusters to allow the students the experience of how the course’s content is implemented in real-life networks.
Due to the fluid nature of these courses, companies can send a small number of participants to gain the required skills knowledge. Once registered, open enrollment participants may retake the courses (no need to provide the reason) on an available free-seat basis, worldwide! Mellanox implements a non-cancellation policy for most of these courses. This means that no course on the schedule will be cancelled, even if there are only a few registered participants.
For all open enrollment courses, students may take the relevant online certification exam free of charge. Open enrollment courses are available as a package: including training fees, lunch, refreshments, Mellanox Academy online access and the certification exam. Various payment methods are available, including the traditional purchase orders and “express registration” using PayPal or credit card.
Mellanox open enrollment courses do not focus on Mellanox products only. During most of the courses, we discuss general technologies’ implementation and considerations. It’s not surprising that more than 25% of our open enrollment courses’ students are non Mellanox customers or partners.
Our open enrollment courses are usually fully booked weeks ahead. We are planning to provide more courses available in more locations worldwide. We’re proud to provide the exclusive InfiniBand (fundamentals and advanced) courses offered worldwide!
We look forward to seeing you and your team in an upcoming session!
