CRITICAL CONFIGURATION PARAMETERS

Each Mellanox PCI Express add-in card is certified to meet Agency Regulatory certifications, including EMC and Safety.

These certifications are obtained for the card with a set of firmware configuration parameters kept static -- and considered CRITICAL -- across all testing platforms and testing conditions. These parameters are listed at the following link:
Critical Configuration Parameters.
The card's performance, power consumption, and regulatory certification status are guaranteed by Mellanox Technologies as long as this set of critical parameters remains unchanged.

As such, it is highly recommended to NOT MODIFY any parameter's value unless its current setting must change for a user's application requirements.

In case one or more critical firmware configuration parameters ARE changed by the user, it is the user's sole responsibility to verify the impact of the changes on the card's performance, power consumption, and/or regulatory certification status.
