The SX1036 is a flexible, high-performance 36-port 40/56GbE switch that can fan out to become a 64-port 10GbE switch providing 2.88Tb/s of line rate performance. Based on Mellanox's SwitchX™ silicon and innovative hardware design, the switch packs 36 QSFP ports and with the ability to use 2-to-1 and 4-to-1 breakout cables, it can reach 64 SFP+ interfaces in an ultra-dense 1U form factor. The SX1036 features industry leading latency of 230ns and power of 2.8W per 40/56GbE port, providing optimal performance and efficiency for enterprise data center, financial services, Web 2.0, high performance computing and cloud computing applications. To ensure long term applicability, the SX1016 supports the latest data center features like Data Center Bridging and has provisions to enable additional L3 features through software upgrades.
The SX1036 is a powerful aggregator and an elegant top-of-rack design that is architected for performance, serviceability and energy savings. The compact 1U design and large QSFP/SFP+ port count maximizes server density in industry-standard racks and scale-out computing solutions using standard interfaces. Both forward and reverse airflow schemes are supported to ensure compatibility with different data center thermal designs. Status LEDs for fans and power units placed on the front panel of the system for easy status identification. Common accessories such as rack mount kit, AC power and RJ45 console cables are included with a quick-start guide as part of the standard system to ensure fast installation and a positive out-of-the-box experience.
