Updating Firmware for InfiniScale® IV Based InfiniBand Switch Platforms

  1. Download the Mellanox Firmware Tools (MFT) package and its documentation (User's Manual and Release Notes) here.
  2. Install MFT according to the instructions in its User's Manual.
  3. Download the switch User's Manual (see switches homepage) and follow the instructions in the chapter "Management and Tools Overview" to burn the firmware image onto the Flash memory of the switch.
  4. To load the new firmware, power-cycle the switch platform by unplugging and replugging the power cord.
