Common Information Model

Overview

The Common Information Model (CIM) is an open standard that defines how managed elements in an InfiniBand environment are represented as a common set of objects and relationships between them. This is intended to allow consistent management of these managed elements, independent of their manufacturer or provider.

Mellanox CIM Provider implements the following Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF) profiles:

  • DSP1023 - Software Inventory
  • DSP1075 - PCI Device
  • DSP1014 - Ethernet Port
  • DSP1002 - Diagnostics (CDMv2)
  • DSP1033 - Profile Registration
