1. Overview
===========
This document provides instructions for installing the MLX4_EN 
drivers for Mellanox Technologies ConnectX family based network adapter 
cards in a VMWare ESX Server environment. 

The ConnectX/ConnectX-3 adapter identifies on the PCI bus as 254X8 or 264X8 
and 4099 PCID. 

1.1 Main Features Overview

2. Revision Compatibility
=========================
- This driver is compatible to ESX4.* GA release builds.
- The firmware that is compatible with this driver is 
- ConnectX/ConnectX-2 firmware fw25408, version 2.8.0600 and above.
- ConnectX-3 firmware fw4099, version 2.10.0000 and above.

3. Changes and New Features

3.1 Changes from previous version (1.5.6)

- Added support for ConnectX-3 adapters
- Bug fixed:
  - Fixed traffic issues in Multifunction mode 
  - Fixed a Netqueue issue in Multifunction mode

- Added exact match for multicast filtering
- Improved performance for VLANs
- Added support for WOL on systems that supports WOL.
- Added support for NCSI on systems that supports NCSI
- Bug fixed:
  - Fixed the limit of supporting only 16 cores 
  - Fixed the module parameter description of Netqueue reports
  - Fixed unexpected behavior in case of memory allocation failures

4. Known Issues:
================
- On multi-call (>32), the number of ConnectX/ConnectX-2 adapters 
  should NOT be higher than 4.
